Operation:

The valve, pushed by its spring, creates a minimum pressure differential greater than 0.10 mWG, in accordance with standard NF P 43-017. Thus, during operation, the downstream pressure remains lower than the upstream pressure, even at zero flow, ensuring excellent sealing. If, for any reason—such as backpressure in the downstream system or accidental negative pressure in the upstream system—the pressure difference between upstream and downstream decreases, the shut-off mechanism closes and seals the system before the flow reverses. This preemptive closing mechanism gives the device anti-pollution properties.
