GEBATOUT 2 Green Joint Compound

Function:

Sealing compound based on synthetic polymers for sealing metal threads, faucet connections, valves, pressure gauges, etc.

  • Used in heating and plumbing applications to seal any metal threaded part (valves, faucets, pressure gauges, pipes)
  • For sealing against gases or chemicals under high pressure (>5 bar) and high temperatures (up to 150°C), choose our GEBETANCHE range

Technical specifications

  • Appearance: Green paste
  • Density: 1.52 – 1.58
  • Temperature resistance: 135°C
  • Hydraulic pressure resistance (when used with our flax tow): >200 bar on 1" (26x34) fittings
  • Properties:
    - Recommended for drinking water
    - Use with flax for hot and cold water
    - Use alone for gases such as natural gas or low-pressure steam (2 to 4 bar depending on fittings and in accordance with applicable regulations in each country)
    - Not suitable for oxygen: use
    GEB’s oxygen-grade PTFE tape instead- Does not dry out or harden, allowing for easy disassembly of the
    joint- Protects threads from corrosion

Standards:

  • Compliance with EN 751-2
  • Drinking water compliance
    :- WRAS certified according to BS6920 for use in and contact with drinking water. Even hot water up to 85°C under reference 1207535.
    - Complies with current French positive lists under reference: 12 CLP NY 009
