Installation:

Preparation: Fittings must be degreased, clean, and dry

Instructions for use:

For threaded fittings:

• Apply SPATEX to the male and female parts of the fittings.
• If there is significant play, or if the threads are damaged or hand-cut, use flax tow.
• Allow to dry for 15 minutes, then assemble. Tighten firmly (approximately 50 N·m).
• For pressurized operation, wait approximately 15 minutes.

For flat gaskets:

• The sealing surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of grease.
• Avoid working on damaged, pitted, or rough surfaces.
• For a metal-to-metal joint, apply a thin coat to both mating surfaces.
• For use with gaskets, place the gasket between the two surfaces coated with SPATEX.
• Wait 15 minutes before assembling.
• For pressurized applications, wait approximately 15 minutes.
