POOL FILETPLAST Sealing Compound for Plastic Fittings, 100 g

Technical specifications:

• Type: Alkoxy silicone (alcohol-based/neutral) that cures upon exposure to moisture in the air
• Appearance: White, viscous, non-runny, odorless paste
• Allowable clearance: 0.8 mm at diameter
• Pressure/temperature resistance: Up to 8 bar and +60°C.
  The cured product is resistant to both low and high ambient temperatures. For heating applications, the pressure and temperature resistance is 4 bar and 90°C.
• Chemical resistance:
  - Hot and cold domestic
  water - Water intended for human consumption / drinking water
  - Heating water
  - Pool water treated with chlorine, salt, ozone, etc

  Do not use on gas, hydrocarbon, or other chemical systems (see GEB range).
• Resetting*: Up to 10 minutes
• Restart*:
  - Up to 3 bar: immediate
  - 8 bar after 24 hours
  For installations at temperatures below +10°C, extend the restart time.
• Removability: Easy to remove without damaging the threads

Installation:

• The threads may be ISO 7 (tapered male part) or ISO 228 (cylindrical male part).
• Degrease with a solvent (such as alcohol) and then dry the two parts to be assembled.

Instructions for use:

• Apply the product to the entire circumference of the first 4 threads of the male and female parts.
• Smooth with your finger to ensure the product penetrates the threads.
• Screw by hand. Only the last ¼ turn should be completed using a strap wrench or claw wrench. Ensure that at least 4 threads are engaged.
• Smooth out any excess product.
• Since drying causes a skin to form on the product’s surface after about 10 minutes, the above steps must be completed within this timeframe.
• Allow to cure without handling the fittings. Immediately pressurize up to 3 bar and for 24 hours between 3 and 8 bar (temperature > +10°C).
• Close the tube tightly after use.
