Model 526 150:

Approved anti-pollution safety unit (EN 1487 standard), with built-in air vent. Ball
valve, removable check valve. 3/4" cold water and
water heater connections. 1" drain. 3/4
" unit: protects water heaters up to 10 kW.

The unit performs the following functions:

Pressure safety,
Opening/closing of the water supply to the water heater,
Anti-pollution in accordance with standard D 36 401,
Draining of the water heater by operating the valve cap.

Functional characteristics:

The 3/4" safety units protect water

heaters up to 10 kW.
The 1" safety units protect water heaters up to 18 kW. They can be paired (KITGSE0000032)

The assembly consists of:

  • a check valve (anti-pollution function) that can be controlled
  • a shut-off valve (ball valve)
  • a safety valve, set to 7 bar, 100% tested during assembly
  • a drain to the sewer, with splash protection and an integrated air vent.

Note

During normal operation of the water heater, the rise in temperature causes the volume of water inside the heater to expand. This water flows out through the drain port.
This small flow is normal, but on the one hand it is a waste, and on the other hand it risks eroding the valve seat, accelerating the leakage rate.
This issue, caused by a purely physical phenomenon, can be remedied by installing a VEXBAL
expansion tank. Installing a pressure reducer set to 3 bar is also recommended (R5331 reducer with a rotating nut for direct mounting on the unit’s M inlet).
