Functional features:

  • This "high-capacity" air vent is capable of discharging large volumes of air, even at high pressure levels.
  • Maximum operating pressure: 10 bar
  • Discharge pressure: 10 bar
  • Max. temperature: 110°C
  • Max. glycol content: 50%

Construction:

  • MF brass elbow with M1/2" port
  • CW617N brass body and cover
  • PP float
  • EPDM seals
  • Stainless steel spring

Installation:

Install vertically at all points in the system where gas accumulation could interfere with proper operation in the event of freezing; install the MAXCAL air vent.

Operating principle:

The accumulation of air bubbles in the trap body causes the float to drop, thereby opening the valve.
Proper operation is guaranteed as long as the water pressure remains below the maximum venting pressure.
The internal geometry and sizing have been designed to vent air up to a pressure of 10 bar.

It is recommended to replace the trap cap with a hygroscopic cap when installing in hard-to-reach locations.
