Functional characteristics:

  • This "high capacity" air vent is capable of evacuating large quantities of air, even at high pressure values.
  • Maximum working pressure: 10 bar
  • Venting pressure: 10 bar
  • Maximum temperature: 110°C
  • Maximum glycol content: 50%

Construction:

  • Body and cover: CW617N brass
  • PP float
  • EPDM seals
  • Stainless steel spring
  • F 1/2" connection

Installation:

Install vertically at all points in the system where gas accumulation could interfere with proper operation in the event of freezing. Install the MAXCAL air vent.

Operating principle:

The accumulation of air bubbles in the body of the vent causes the float to descend and consequently opens the shutter.
Proper operation is guaranteed as long as the water pressure remains below the maximum venting pressure.
The internal geometry and dimensions have been designed to vent air up to a pressure of 10 bar.

It is advisable to replace the air vent cap with a hygroscopic cap when installing in hard-to-reach locations.
