Construction:

  • White lacquered steel body (red for 80 liters and above)
  • 1" steel male connector
  • Special EPDM membrane, adapted to the constraints (for excellent resistance to antifreeze)
  • On base 80 to 600 liters
  • Factory pre-inflation: 2.5 bar +- 20%

Functional characteristics:

  • Operating pressure 6 bar
  • Test pressure 10 bar
  • System temperature -10°C / +110°C
  • Membrane temperature -10°C / 99°C

Installation:

Branch connection on the circuit, if possible on the return, without any shut-off device between the circuit and the tank.
In order to reduce the maximum temperature of the circuit at the tank, it is advisable to use a non-insulated connection:

  • Vertical junction if possible,
  • Horizontal heat-transmission-resistant junction with a length 50 times its diameter
  • Large capacity vessels, up to 600 liters
  • From 105 to 600 liters: red color.

Essential precaution: the installation of a closed expansion tank in a solar system must always be accompanied by the installation of a suitable safety valve. See valves
