ST544 Thermal Safety Valves 

Function:

For solid fuel boilers not equipped with a DHW tank or safety coil.
Thermal safety valves are used to protect solid fuel boilers.
In the event of accidental overheating, the boiler is cooled by opening the valve, which evacuates the hot water. The valve alone
cannot regulate the boiler temperature under any circumstances.

The installation of a heating safety valve remains mandatory.

  • Trigger temperature: 100°C (+0°C -5°C)
  • Maximum operating temperature: 110°C
  • Ambient temperature: 6°C minimum
  • Maximum pressure (EF inlet and heating circuit): 6 bar
  • Discharge flow rate under Dp of 1 bar: 1600 l/h
  • Capillary length: 1300 mm

Construction:

  • Chrome-plated stamped brass body
  • Stainless steel spring
  • Ethylene-propylene seals
  • 1/2" female connections

The ST544 valve is used on boilers that are not equipped with a hot water tank or heat exchanger.
When the limit temperature is reached, the valve opens. It discharges the hot water and simultaneously replaces it with an equivalent amount of cold water.
